How to run APK files (Android Apps) on your PC

APK stands for Android Application Package, which is the file format used to distribute and install application software and middleware onto Google's Android operating system.

To run these apk files on pc, you need another program to install and execute the apk. Here i'm using a program called BlueStacks App Player. Bluestacks is a Silicon Valley-based software company that produces BlueStacks App Player and BlueStacks Cloud Connect. Both products are designed to enable Android applications to run on Windows PCs, Macintosh computers and Windows tablets.

Steps To Install And Execute APK Files:
Step 1:
Download and install BlueStacks App Player
http://www.bluestacks.com/index.html 

Step 2:
Open the BlueStacks App Player.

Step 3:
Click on Settings button

Step 4:
Goto Accounts & Sync.

Step 5:
Click ADD ACCOUNT

Step 6:
Choose Google from the pop up window.

Step 7:
Add your Existing Google account or create a New one. Sign in using your email id and password.

Step 8:
Now go back and click the Search button

Step 9:
Now search for whatever apps you need. In this example, I have searched for WhatsApp. This app is not currently installed on my BlueStacks App Player. Thats why it shows No Results.

Step 10:
Click Search Play for WhatsApp. Thats it, now you can search for the app on Google Play Store and install it into your BlueStacks App Player.
